Lake News Snow Lake Friendship Club to meet December 13 in Hoover home Hello Snow Lakers: I hope you had a good week. Enjoy Thanksgiving Day with your family and friends, as we will do. Thanksgiving is so near and I mentioned last week that the Community Center is preparing baskets for Thanksgiving and Christmas. They are asking for your help by bringing non-perishable foods, or money to complete the baskets. Thanks for your help! After Thanksgiving the Community Center will still need food to prepare the baskets for Christmas. Thanks. I heard that Carl Pruitt has been sick. If you have any information, please call me. If you know of anyone sick or needing help please call Sue Graves, 224-3264. If you know of someone I have missed, please call me at 224-3913. The Snow Lake Volunteer Fire Department’s Ladies’ Auxiliary still has a few sweat shirts (mostly very large sizes), and jackets at a reduced price, and cookbooks, $9.50. This is a good time to purchase these items - winter is here! They are on display at the Ashland Discount Outlet on Hwy. 4, Town Hall, or call Jane Edwards at 224-3435. Last Saturday’s Thanksgiving Potluck was wonderful and so many attended. It was nice to have some new residents and guests. Remember Christmas potluck is also a week early - on Dec. 17. I need to make a correction regarding The Snow Lake Friendship Club. They had their regular meeting on November 8. We planned our December meeting to be at Laura Hoover’s home, at 24 Bright Ave. (Sorry I made a mistake on the location) on Tues., Dec. 13 at 12:00 noon. The men are invited, and should bring a small gift. Secret pal’s gifts will also be brought to the meeting. We look forward to seeing all the group. Coming Events:
