Snow Lake News
Sue Shears

Clothing reduced just in time for cool weather

Hello Snow Lakers: I hope you had a good week. This has been a beautiful weekend. We had three couples down for the weekend and we had a wonderful time. We visited, shopped, played cards, took a boat ride, and ate. And did we eat! However, when they leave they always leave leftovers for us. I am looking forward to them coming again in the spring.

When we took our boat ride last Sunday, we covered the entire lake and you would be surprised at the improvements, additions, and landscaping that has been done. Everything looked good.

We had a new cat in the area but we haven’t seen it lately so I hope it has found its former home, or a new one.

Have you seen the beautiful Halloween decorations at the three entrances, and town hall. Aren’t they cute? T.J. and her goblins did the decorating a couple of weeks ago. Good job!

Thanksgiving is so near and I mentioned last week that the Community Center is preparing baskets for Thanksgiving and Christmas. They are asking for your help by bringing non-perishable foods, or money to complete the baskets. Thanks for your help!

I haven’t heard of anyone being sick this week. If you know of anyone sick or needing help please call Sue Graves, 224-3264. If you know of someone I have missed, please call me at 224-3913.

The Snow Lake Volunteer Fire Department’s Ladies’ Auxiliary still has a few sweat shirts, jackets at a reduced price, and cookbooks, $9.50.

This is a good time to purchase these items - fall is here! They are on display at the Ashland Discount Outlet on Hwy. 4, Town Hall, or call Jane Edwards at 224-3435.

Remember, potluck is a week earlier this month and next month because of the holidays. It’s on the third Saturday.

Have a good week, and hope to see you next week.
