Jack Green celebrates birthday

Patti and Mike Hemric from Colley-ville, Texas, were guests of Charlie and Jane Farris in the Grove in Oxford for the Ole Miss Homecoming game. The Hemric’s daughter, Mandi, pledged Phi Mu. Congratulations to Frannie Farris for pledging Chi Omega!

Jack and Henry Green spent Saturday with their grandparents, Bea and Jimmye Dale Green, while their parents, Kate and John, attended the Ole Miss/Alabama football game in Oxford. Jack celebrated his third birthday with a wonderful dinner at “The Cabin” on Sunday with his relatives. They are from Washington, DC. Happy birthday, Jack!

Dr. Ben Seale and Ann Ostenson of Jackson, Andy Seale of Nashville, Tenn., and Hamilton Seale of Pensacola, Fla., joined their parents, Ben and Robin Seale, in the Grove Saturday for the Ole Miss football game.

Happy 74th birthday to “the Doorman” at The Service Station, John Clay Hodge. He celebrated on Sunday with friends and family. May you have many more delightful years!

Ben, Tara, Tanner and Tristan Martin of Auburn, Ala., passed through town on Thursday after visiting with Dr. Ben Martin in the hospital in Memphis. Ben returned home Monday from his brief stay. Get well soon!

Frances Buchanan, Doris Cochran, Rev. Bruce McMillan and Dorothy Warren returned Saturday from an overnight stay in Sewanee, Tenn. The group enjoyed taking in the sights.

Couple says vows in private ceremony on cruise ship in Panama City, FL

Longtime resident Danny P. Scott of Byhalia was recently united in marriage to Rosalyn B. Mason.

Rosalyn B. Bates-Mason and Danny P. Scott are proud to announce that on the 10th day of September, 2005, we united our hearts in holy matrimony in a private ceremony on the Lady Anderson Dinner Cruise Ship, Panama City, Florida. Although we couldn’t have you there in person, you were there with us in our hearts through your friendship and love.

The couple will make their home in Chipley, Fla.

Allen
John and Stacey Allen of Olive Branch are proud to announce the birth of a son, Jacob David Allen. He was born on Oct. 1, 2005 at Methodist Germantown Hospital in Germantown, Tenn. Jacob weighed eight pounds, four ounces and was 20-3/4 inches long.

Jacob is welcomed by his brother, Nate, and his sister, Sarah.

Maternal grandparents are Al and Vickie Wentworth of Hernando and Don and Patsy Winfield of Oakland, Tenn.

Paternal grandparents are Hardy and Carol Allen of Red Banks.

Glover
Kai Nicole Glover was born Oct. 6, 2005 at Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory. She weighed eight pounds, 3.5 ounces and was 19-1/2 inches long.

Proud parents are Kaisha R. Dowden and Grant L. Glover of Holly Springs.

She was welcomed home by siblings Kiara Holliday, Kejon and Kandance Gladney and Brandon Glover.

Maternal grandparents are Kandace Dowden-Morgan and Eugene Morgan of Chicago, Ill..

Paternal grandparents are Geraldine and Gholson Glover of Holly Springs.
