Congratulations to Denise and Marshall Brown, new grandparents
Hello Snow Lakers: I hope you had a good week. As I am writing the article the weather is still cool and I’m loving it. I even lit one of the pilots on a heater. Good time to get fall planting and tree trimming done. We have three new trees to plant, and talked to the tree man and he was ready to come over, but we weren’t going to be home. Maybe next week.
Scelette Blake on Lake View Drive came home last Saturday from having surgery on her back. She is in some pain, but I think she is doing as good as can be expected, considering the extensive surgery she had. Congratulations to Denise and Marshall Brown; they are grandparents of a new granddaughter. If you know of anyone sick or needing help please call Sue Graves, 224-3264. If you know of someone I have missed, please call me at 224-3913.
The Snow Lake Volunteer Fire Department’s Ladies’ Auxiliary still has a few items of clothing that have been reduced in price for quick sale - sweat shirts $8 all sizes, jackets $20 all sizes, cookbooks $9.50. This is a good time to purchase these items - fall is here. They are on display at the Ashland Discount Outlet on Hwy. 4, Town Hall, or call Jane Edwards at 224-3435.
The Community Center’s garage sale on October 8 was a huge success.
Thanks to everyone who donated items, and to the workers who made the sale possible and expecially the customers.
We have some new property owners, so when you see them please stop and say hello, and by all means, invite them to our meetings and potluck.

Our Quote: From the booklet “Gentle Thoughts.” “Some of your hurts you have cured, and the sharpest you still have survived, but what torments of grief you endured from evils which never arrived.” by Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Have a good week, and hope to see you next week.
