Lake News Sue Shears Community Center benefit garage sale set for Saturday Hello Snow Lakers: I hope you had a good week. As I am writing the article the weather is mild and it appears it will stay that way for several days. Good time to get fall planting done, and tree trimming done. It looks like the lower limbs on our trees have grown two feet - we cant see our beautiful lake so we have planned to have them raised as soon as possible. When you pass Sue and C.Y. Graves house look at the beautiful golden trumpet plant. It is fantastic and Sue says it comes in several colors. John Pierpont on Snow Lake Drive is home from rehab in Oxford. Glad to have you home Mr. John. Scelette Blake on Lake View Drive will enter the hospital on Wednesday of this week for surgery on her back. Hurry home Scelette. I dont know which hospital, but I will find out, so you can call me later. If you know of anyone sick or needing help please call Sue Graves, 224-3264. If you know of someone I have missed, please call me at 224-3913. The Snow Lake Volunteer Fire Departments Ladies Auxiliary still has a few items of clothing that has been reduced in price for quick sale - sweat shirts $8 all sizes, jackets $20 all sizes, cookbooks $9.50. This is a good time to purchase these items - fall is almost here. They are on display at the Ashland Discount Outlet on Hwy. 4, Town Hall, or call Jane Edwards at 224-3435. The Snow Lake Volunteer Fire Department Meeting on Oct. 1 was well attended. Two new members were voted to serve on the Board of Commissioners - Harry Leuer, and Ed McCulley. Congratulations. The Community Center is having a garage sale on October 8, so start saving your discards. This is the last week to take your treasurers to them.
