Annual
garage sale set for May 7
Hello Snow
Lakers: I hope you had a good week. It sure is cold -
that’s why we are taking a vacation in January. We
left last Sunday and are driving on some of the old
highways until we get to #95 in Florida.
We plan to
see a little of Florida before we board the Queen Mary 2
on Friday, Jan. 28. We are looking forward to it, but we
think it will a bit more formal than we are accustomed
to.
Regarding
the sick people on the lake, Laurie Pierpont’s
mother, Sara Pierpont is back in Snow Lake. J.W. Carter
is still in Memphis but is feeling much better. Mickey
Snow is having a knee operation on January 26. Vicki Fox
is having knee surgery on Feb. 2. Our prayers are with
the people mentioned above. Please call Sue Wooley Graves
224-3264 if you know of anyone sick or needing help.

the Ladies Auxiliary of the Snow Lake Volunteer Fire
Department still has new Snow Lake Cookbooks for sale.
You can find them at Ashland Discount Store on Hwy. 4. Or
call Frances Simpson at 224-3469 or Jane Edwards,
224-3435. We also have some Fire Department jackets $30
and $35, sweat shirts $12. You can find them at Ashland
Discount Store on Hwy 4, and Town Hall.
We are
beginning a New Year, so the Ladies Auxiliary of the Snow
Lake Volunteer Fire Department has begun new projects.
They will have their annual Garage Sale on Saturday, May
7 at the Ashland Discount Outlet Store on Hwy 5. If you
have something to contribute, please take it to the store
anytime they are open, or call Sue Shears, 224-3913, or
Scelette Blake, 224-9251, and we will pick it up.
Remember, guests are always welcome to come to any of our
events. Also, remember, the Community Center is available
for rental for a party, etc; just contact Emily Koen,
224-8707.
Coming
Events:
Thursday, Feb. 3 - 6:30 pm Town Meeting. Please come and
show your support.
Saturday,
Feb. 12 - 7-9 a.m. Breakfast followed by the Corporation
meeting at 9 am.
Saturday,
Feb. 19 - Potluck - everyone is invited.
