Whites rejoice over new grandbaby; Graham Miller here for weekend

Congratulations to Jim and Sandy White on the latest addition to their family, a grandson, Devlin Phillip Yates. He is the son of Heather and Phillip Yates of Dripping Springs, Texas. Devlin was a healthy eight pounds, three ounces, 21-inch bouncing bundle of joy. Welcome to the world!

Becky Cupp attended the Collierville High School football game on Friday night for their homecoming. Her grandson, Trey Fitch, plays for Collierville.

Hamilton Seale of Pensacola, Fla., was here visiting with friends and her parents, Ben and Robin Seale, for the weekend.

Maia and Mark Miller’s son, Graham, of Little Rock, Ark., was here over the weekend.

Miss Dawn Farmer and Dennis Henley to wed at Collierville First Assembly of God

Christina Lopez of Potts Camp is happy to announce the forthcoming marriage of her daughter, Dawn Nichole Farmer, to Dennis Hickory Henley, son of Hickory and Carol Henley.

Dawn is also the daughter of the late Gary Farmer. She is the granddaughter of Linda Owens of Victoria and the late Leon Owens and the late Mr. and Mrs. Emmitt Farmer.

She is employed at Shappley’s Sew and Vac.

Dennis is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Emmitt Dennis; Clifford Pinkston of Nesbit; the late Audrey Pinkston and the late Mr. and Mrs. W.P. Henley.

He is employed at Hickory Henley Heating and Air.

The wedding will be held at 3 p.m. on October 8, 2005 at Collierville First Assembly of God, 730 South Byhalia Road.

All family and friends are cordially invited to attend.

The happy couple will make their home in Victoria.


Tammy Green and Heath Frayser say vows in Gatlinburg, TN

Tammy Green of Iuka and Heath Frayser of Potts Camp were united in marriage Sept. 3, 2005 in Gatlinburg, Tenn.

The bride is the daughter of Billy and Linda Skinner of Iuka and the granddaughter of Bruce and Etta Young and the late Stoney and Artie Skinner, all from Iuka.

She is employed as an RN at Alliance HealthCare System in Holly Springs.

The groom is the son of Buck and Jessie Frayser of Potts Camp and the grandson of Dorothy Frayser of Potts Camp and the late Nathan Frayser and the late Steward and Sally Mae Anthony of Ashland.

He is employed with Gene Taylor and Sons Plumbing in Collierville.

The couple will make their home in Iuka.


Miss Gloria Jeffries and Frank Dorsey to exchange vows in private ceremony Friday; reception planned for Saturday

Albert L. Delbridge of Holly Springs announces the forthcoming marriage of his daughter, Gloria S. Jeffries, to Frank Dorsey, son of Annie Lee Dorsey of West Memphis, Ark. and the late Eugene Dorsey.

Gloria is also the daughter of the late Celia Mae Jeffries.

The couple will exchange vows in a private ceremony on Sept. 30, 2005 in Memphis, Tenn. A reception will be held Oct. 1 at Dreamland, Inc. in Holly Springs at 3 p.m.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the reception following the ceremony


Spoon birth announcement

Danielle Williams and Shannon Spoon are extremely proud to announce the birth of their baby girl, Chloe Belle Spoon. Chloe was born on Aug. 13, 2005 at 6:13 p.m. at Baptist DeSoto in Southaven. She weighed eight pounds, 13 ounces and was 21.5 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Lisa Stone of Olive Branch and the late Benji Stone of Memphis. Paternal grandparents are Rick Spoon of Holly Springs and Vicki Spoon of Byhalia. Maternal great-grandparents are Dan and Glenda Williams of Byhalia. Paternal great-grandparents are Bertha Spoon and the late Ernie Spoon of Red Banks and Pat Haney and the late Danny Haney of Byhalia.

Little Chloe was welcomed home by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She will be participating in the first annual White Oak Pageant Saturday, Oct. 1 at the Byhalia High School, beginning at 4 p.m.
