Patriots beat Indianola The Marshall Academy junior high Patriots, behind a three touchdown performance from Taylor Dempsey, routed Indianola 36-8 last Thursday at home. Dempsey scored on runs of 60, seven and 73 yards. His first touchdown came at the 4:05 mark of the first quarter from 60 yards away. Hunter Bolden ran for the two-point conversion. Dempsey reached the end zone again with 6:59 to go in the second quarter, this time from the 7-yard line. Tyler Childers scored the two-point conversion, and the Patriots were on top 16-0. Midway through the second quarter, Childers passed to Spenser Autry over the middle for 37 yards and six points. The try-for-two was unsuccessful. In the second half, Dempsey added a 73-yard scoring run, followed by Boldens carry for the two points. The lead was 30-0. Then Bolden got the teams final points of the night on a 4-yard touchdown run. The try-for-two failed. The Colonels scored a touchdown and two-point conversion late in the game to trim the final score to 36-8. The junior Patriots improved to 3-2 on the season. They travel to Carroll Academy this Thursday, Sept. 29, for a 7 p.m. kickoff. Report News:
