The Marshall County Planning Commission will meet for their regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, October 13, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in the Zoning Office at 590 Old Highway 78-East, Holly Springs, Mississippi. The public is invited to attend.

The following requests will be on the agenda:

ITEM 1: New Beginning Word Christian Church requests to be allowed to build a church on property located on Red Hill Road (Lot #270 of Interstate 78 Farms Subdivision). The property in question contains approximately 2.77 acres and is zoned R-2.

ITEM 2: Mrs. Leone Rodgers at 180 Watkins Road requests to be allowed to deed 2.33 acres of her property (Lot #17 of Victoria Heights South Subdivision) to her son, Michael and his wife, Camille Rodgers. If the request is allowed, Michael and Camille are planning to place a double wide mobile home. The property in question is zoned R-1.

ITEM 3: Mrs. Lillian Newsom at 55 King Road requests to be allowed to place a second dwelling (single wide mobile home) on her property for her daughter, Mary Pigues. This request is being made because Mrs. Newsom is in bad health and she needs her daughter close by to help assist with daily tasks. The property in question is Lot #8A of North Wall Hill Farms Subdivision and zoned Agricultural.

ITEM 4: Mr. David Whitehurst at 110 Oakwood Drive requests to be allowed to construct a 60x200 pole barn on his property. If the request is allowed, the barn will be used as storage, for horses, hay, to park work trucks and other equipment. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Marshall County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing during their regular scheduled meeting on Thursday, October 13, 2005, at the Marshall County Zoning and Planning Office at 590 Highway 178 East, Holly Springs, Mississippi. The Commission will hear a rezoning request from Earl Warren. The property (parcel #127-35-27) is located on Highway 72 East across from H.W. Byers School and is presently zoned R-E. The request is to rezone the front 25 acres to C-1 (commercial) and the remainder will remain R-E. The Commission will make a recommendation to the Marshall County Board of Supervisors in regard to rezoning (the decision to rezone is a decision that is made by the Marshall County Board of Supervisors). The public is cordially invited. Any person may appear before the Commission either in person or by agent, or may file written comments regarding the request with the Administrative Official prior to the hearing. Written comments should be submitted no later than October 12, 2005 (P.O. Box 219, Holly Springs, MS 38635). The Planning Commission meeting is at 2:00 P.M. and the rezoning hearing will be at 3:00 P.M.
