  • SINGING Rice Chapel Methodist Church, Hwy 72. Singing at 7 p.m., fellowship at 6 p.m. Guest singers will be the Mink Family. Pastor Bro. Walter Myers invites all.
  • FALL FESTIVAL Henry School will have their fall festival, Sat., Sept. 24 on the campus. Games, food and fun. All proceeds will be used for the long list of improvements needed at the school.   • Singing Evangel Full Gospel Assembly, Sat., Sept. 24, with local singers and congregational singing for everyone. 7 p.m. and everyone is invited. Bring a song to sing.

  • REVIVAL Barton United Methodist Church hosts a revival Sept. 25-28, Potluck will be held Sept. 25 at 5 p.m. with services beginning at 7 p.m. nightly. Refreshments will be served after Wednesday night services. Rev. Larry Kelso of Stuttgart, Ark. will be guest speaker. Bro. Waid Wilkes is pastor.
  • REVIVAL Holly Springs United Methodist Church, Sun., Sept. 25-Thurs., Sept. 28, 7 p.m. Rev. Bouknight, pastor of Christ United Methodist Church will be the guest speaker each night. Nursery provided.
  • MISSIONARY DAY Adolphus Chapel CME Church, Sun., Sept. 25, 2 p.m. Pastor Lexine Smith and the Beverly Chapel CME Church family will be guests, along with Yarbrough Chapel CME Church family. Rev. Billy Williams, pastor.
  • REVIVAL Asbury United Methodist Church’s annual fall revival will be held September 25-29, 7 p.m. nightly. Emma and Eddie Ward of Trinity UMC will be the guest ministers. The theme for the revival is: “It’s Time for a Change: Experiencing Spiritual Transformation.” Everyone is invited to attend.
  • Fall gospel meeting, Hernando Road Church of Christ, Sun., Sept. 25-Fri., Sept. 30, 7:30 p.m. nightly. Sunday services, 11 a.m .and 3 p.m. Lunch will be served immediately after morning worship.   • CONCERT Rev. Larry West and Faith Baptist Church members in Hickory Flat invite everyone to a concert featuring The Landmarks of New Albany, Sun., Sept. 25, 6 p.m. The church is located on Hwy 178 in Hickory Flat.   • Fatherhood Workshop Sept. 27 and the topic is Moms and Dads Needed Immediately! Parental Involvement in Schools and on Sept. 29 the topic is Children and the Stress of Parenting; Self-Care 101: for Moms and Dads which will be held at the David L. October 2

  • CONCERT Zebedee Jones and Rust College Acapella Choir will be in concert at Hopewell No. 1 M.B. Church, 365 Bonner Street, 7 p.m. Henderson Milan and Etoyil Long, sponsors; Rev. Leroy James, pastor; and Pat Boga, mistress of ceremonies.
  • USHER DAY Free Branch Church, Sun., Oct. 2, 2:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be Pastor Ronnie Gibbs of F.E.B. Church of Ripley. Minister Barry Reynolds is minister in charge.
  • WOMEN’S DAY PROGRAM The United Methodist Women of Calvin Chapel UMC invite everyone to their annual Women’s Day program, Sun., Oct. 2, 4 p.m. Sis. Corarine Crittle of Macedonia MB Church in Memphis, Tenn. will be guest speaker.
  • ANNIVERSARY Pleasant Grove MB Church will celebrate their pastor and wife’s 40th year anniversary. Pastor J.B. Frost of East Providence MB Church in Oxford will deliver the message. Everyone is invited.

October 4

  • BROWN BAG LUNCH Friends of the Library, Brown Bag lunch, will meet at 11:30 a.m. in the Marshall County Library with a speaker at 12 noon. Bring a sandwich; drinks and dessert provided.

October 6

  • BAKE SALE The Lessye Lee Davis 4-H Club will hold their annual bake sale at Wal-Mart, beginning at 8 a.m. until baked goods run out. Donations will be gratefully accepted. A recruitment booth will also be set up at the bake sale booth.

October 7

  • MEETING Marshall County Retired Education Personnel will meet at the Library, 1 p.m. Mrs. Laverne Jones, president. Time to pay local dues.
  • MEETING Hopewell No. 1 Church will have a conference, 7 p.m. Pastor James urges all members to be present.
  • Fish fry, Cayce Fire Dept., 30 Lee Creek Rd., at the station, Oct. 7, beginning at 5 p.m. Sheriff Kenny Dickerson and his crew will be cooking. Eat in or take out. For more info. call 851-7634, 851-7922 or 851-7384.

October 8

  • WHITE OAKS FESTIVAL Sat., Oct. 8, 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Byhalia’s White Oaks Festival featuring crafts, food, games, activities for kids, raffles, entertainment, and prizes.   • BAKE SALE Lessye Lee Davis 4-H Club will hold their annual bake sale at Wal-Mart, 8 a.m. until the desserts run out. We accept donations. Recruitment booth, parents invited to sign your child up, ages 8-19.
  • MEETING The Marshall County Republican Club will meet Sat., Oct. 8, 10 a.m. at Northcentral MS Power Assoc., Hwy 309 S., Byhalia. Speaker will be radio talk show host Mike Fleming. The public is invited. 252-5151 or 866-649-1866 for more info.

  • HOMECOMING Spring Hill Baptist Church, Waterford, will have their annual homecoming, Oct. 9. Services will begin at 10 a.m. with music. Worship service at 11 a.m. Fellowship meal will follow.
