Club will meet at the Marshall County Library, 6
p.m. to complete project started at the last
meeting. Bring your dues, coupons and Betty
Crocker points. Parents interested in their
child, ages 8-19, joining are cordially invited.

- LESSYE LEE DAVIS 4-H
CLUB will have an arts and crafts display on the
courthouse lawn. Time will be announced.
- SECOND TIME AROUND
The Marshall County Humane Societys thrift
store, Second Time Around, 126 W. Van Dorn,
located next to Bailey Printing in Holly Springs,
will be open Fri. from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and
Sat., 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Call 662-564-2900 for pick-up
information on your donation.
- EXHIBIT DAY The
Marshall County MHV members will be holding their
annual exhibit day on Sept. 9 on the courthouse
lawn. The exhibits will be judged at 9:30 a.m.
and will be for sale after the judging. The MHV
members would like to invite everyone to come by
to see their exhibits. For more information

- FLEA MARKET The
Northwest Side Civic Club is hosting a flea
market on Sat., Sept. 17 starting at 7 a.m.
until. All venders are invited to set up a booth.
Inside booths are $15 and outside are $10.
Concessions will be open at 6 a.m. All proceeds
will go towards the re-opening of the ball field.

today. The civic club is located just off Hwy
310, at the Piney Point sign, about 12 miles from
Hwy 7 South.
- FORESTRY FIELD DAY
Marshall County Forestry Association will hold
their 9th annual Forestry Field Day on Saturday,
Sept. 17 in the northwest part of the county
starting with registration at 8 a.m.
Pre-registration is required by calling the
Marshall Co. Extension Service at 662-252-3541 by
Sept. 12. Events will include wagon tours of the
Tree Farm with educational topics by
specialists on Wildlife, Forest Fertilization,
Hardwood Management, Management Practices in
Thinned Pines, and Firewise. A keynote
speaker will close out the activities.
- SINGING Sat., Sept.
17, Clear Creek Baptist Church, Lamar. Fellowship
6 p.m., singing, 7 p.m. Featured group, Picking
Up The Pieces. Jimmy Curle and congregation

September 18
- HOMECOMING will be
held at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 1580 Hwy. 309
South. Sunday School, 9:45 a.m., worship 11:00
a.m. Fellowship dinner after morning services,
followed by preaching and singing. All are

- WHITE OAKS FESTIVAL

Byhalias White Oaks Festival featuring
crafts, food, games, activities for kids,
raffles, entertainment, and prizes. Applications
for booth spaces are $25 and can be obtained by

- BAKE SALE Lessye Lee
Davis 4-H Club will hold their annual bake sale
at Wal-Mart, 8 a.m. until the desserts run out.

- 2005 HARVEST FEST
sponsored by the Holly Springs Chamber of
Commerce will be held on the historic downtown
square, 10 a.m. u ntil. Arts and crafts, food
vendors, singing, merchants open houses,
door prizes. Join the fun.
