Community Center hosts Saturday night dinner

Hello Snow Lakers: I hope you had a good week. We are now home from vacation, and we had a wonderful time, and saw rivers and countries we never thought we would see. We had a long and hard flight home and we have double jet-lag. We have slept and laid around for two days. We missed potluck.

We want to extend our sympathy to Mickey Snow and family on Snow Lake Drive, whose mother in Alabama died, and also T.J. Grissom and family on Lake View Drive, whose mother died. Elsie Brown’s sister is very sick. Don Glasser is going to have eye surgery, and is suffering from back problems. Our thoughts and prayers are with the above families. If you know of anyone sick or needing help please call Sue Wooley Graves, 224-3264. If you know of someone I have missed, please call me at 224-3913.

The Community Center is having a garage sale on October 8, so start saving your discards. All the proceeds will go to making improvements on the building and grounds. For contributions, call Emily Koen, 224-8707; or Joan Martinez, 224-8032.

The Community Center is having a hamburger and hot dog dinner Saturday night at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited. $5 per plate. Carry-outs will be available.

Coming Events:
Saturday, Sept. 3, 6 p.m. hamburger and hot dog dinner.

Our Quote, from the booklet “Gentle Thoughts.” “A man should never be ashamed to own he has been in the wrong, which is but saying in other words, that he is wiser today than he was yesterday.” Jonathan Swift.

Have a good week, and hope to see you next week.
