Did anyone ever have that prickly feeling at the top part of the back of the neck which made you uncomfortable for just a few seconds? I am not talking about the prickly feeling which was caused when listening to some of Mom’s scary stories when you were a child. This one comes from a pleasant, though inexplicable, origin. Uncomfortable, but pleasant.

Sign-up begins for youth flag football

The Holly Springs Parks and Recreation Department is registering youth who want to participate in flag football for boys and girls ages 7-12.

Registration will be held at City Hall, 160 South Memphis Street. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Adult basketball meeting
Also, there will be a men’s and women’s basketball tournament meeting Thursday, Aug. 18, at 6 p.m. at the Eddie L. Smith Jr. Multi-Purpose Building.
