Wife Pam called me on her cell phone about mid-afternoon on Wednesday, Aug. 10. I noticed quickly it wasnt her typical tone of voice. She was shaky.
What a treat for my birthday!
My granddaughters went all out this year to make sure I had a special birthday.
Summer nights were hot, but we didnt care back then
I always try to watch the end of twilight on the longest and shortest days of the year. When June 21 came this time, I forgot, so I watched especially carefully on June 22. The lapse of daylight could not have been but a minute or so longer the day before.
