  • MEETING Lessye Lee Davis 4-H Club will meet at the MC Library. Don’t forget to bring your dues, coupons and Betty Crocker points. Parents interested in their child, ages 8-19, joining are cordially invited.

  • SECOND TIME AROUND The Marshall County Humane Society’s thrift store, Second Time Around, located next to Bailey Printing in Holly Springs, will be open Fri. from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Sat., 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Call 662-564-2900 for pick-up information on your donation.
  • Watson VFD Rummage Sale-Friday, Aug. 5 and Saturday, Aug. 6 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. 1/2 mile west of the Watson four-way stop on Watson Road. Follow signs. Rain or shine.

  • ANNUAL LITTLE MISS AMICAE PAGEANT sponsored by the Zeta Amicae will be held on the Rust campus in the Social Science Auditorium Building, 6 p.m. Everyone is invited.
  • BOATING SAFETY CLASS Wall Doxey State Park, 8 a.m- 3 p.m. Contact 662-563-6330 to register. If born after June 30, 1980, you must have this class to operate a boat. Course also offered on the web at pub.safetyschool.com.

  • CLASS MEETING Holly Springs High School class of 1986 will have its monthly meeting Sun., Aug. 7, at Mr. Chic’s Barbershop, 5 p.m. Very important reunion discussion.
  • HOMECOMING The Watson Community Church will be celebrating homecoming on Sunday, August 7. There will be a morning singing featuring Deep River at 10:30 a.m. followed by a time of fellowship. All are invited.
