  • SPAY/NEUTER PROGRAM The Marshall County Humane Society’s low cost spay/neuter program will be open at 646 Old Hwy 78 E. Call 252-6196 for the necessary appointment.
  • MARSHALL COUNTY FAIR July 27-30, at the Fairgrounds, 1569 Hwy 7 N. Games, food, fun and many, many activities. Call 252-5441 for more info.
  • PRAYER MEETING Strawberry MB Church has prayer meeting and Bible class every Wed. night, 6-7:30 p.m. Everyone is invited. Pastor Willie F. Jeffries Jr., pastor.

Friday

  • Gospel Singing will be held at The Apostolic Church of Jesus, Hwy. 178 Stonewall Road, Byhalia, 7 p.m. featuring “The Delta Blue” a bluegrass gospel music group. No admission, love offering will be taken. Pastor Garland Loveless and church members invite everyone to attend.
  • SECOND TIME AROUND The Marshall County Humane Society’s thrift store, Second Time Around, located next to Bailey Printing in Holly Springs, will be open Fri. from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Sat., 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Call 662-564-2900 for pick-up information on your donation.
  • ATTENTION CLASS OF ’85 MEMBERS Holly Springs High School class of 1985 members there is still time to be a part of your 20th reunion. Deadline for dues today. Last chance to join this celebration. Final meeting will be Saturday, 3 p.m., at Shelia Walton’s residence, 545 NW Boundary, Holly Springs.
  • YOUTH PROGRAM at Davine, 525 West Street, 7 p.m. Bring a friend, come and hang out, food, fun, games and more. Pastor Darrell E. Cunningham and True Vine Church invite everyone.

Saturday

  • School Day Uniform-Give-Away (pants and polo shirts). Sponsored by the Eddie Lee Smith and the Lessye Lee Davis 4-H Clubs, will take place on the parking lot of Dreamland, 8 a.m. We are asking the community and individuals to support the efforts of the children by donating any uniforms you have. Drop off sites are WKRA, Ebony and Ivory Beauty Salon, Perfect Touch and Carlisle’s Big Star.
  • GIANT YARD SALE Sponsored by the Holly Springs Garden Club. Sat., July 30, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at Montrose on Salem Ave. Household items, furniture, linens, clothing, appliances, etc. Y’all come! Don’t miss this one.
  • BUILDING FUND PROGRAM Sat., July 30, 7 p.m. the Silver Stars are sponsoring a building fund program. All groups, choirs, soloists, are invited to attend. Minister Barry Reynolds, shepherd in charge.
  • 2005 WOMEN’S CONFERENCE Sat., July 30, 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. at Red Banks Baptist Church. Speaker will be Janet Williams from Iuka Baptist Church.   • VIDEO SERIES BridgeWay Baptist Church is hosting “Ladies in the Kitchen” Fellowship and video series by Nancy Leigh DeMoss, at 5 p.m. First video is entitled “Brokenness.” All ladies in the community are invited to participate. 523 Quinn Road, adjacent to Barton First Baptist.   • BOATING SAFETY CLASS Wall Doxey State Park, 8 a.m- 3 p.m. Contact 662-563-6330 to register. If born after June 30, 1980, you must have this class to operate a boat. Course also offered on the web at pub.safetyschool.com

August 7

  • HOMECOMING Clear Creek Baptist Church. No Sunday School. Worship will begin at 11 a.m. with dinner to follow. Owens Family will be featured group. Everyone is invited.
  • CLASS MEETING Holly Springs High School class of 1986 will have its monthly meeting Sun., Aug. 7, at Mr. Chic’s Barbershop, 5 p.m. Very important reunion discussion.
  • HOMECOMING The Watson Community Church will be celebrating homecoming on Sunday, August 7. There will be a morning singing featuring Deep River at 10:30 a.m. followed by a time of fellowship. All are invited.

August 8

  • REVIVAL Clear Creek Baptist Church, Aug. 8-12, Mon.-Fri., 7 p.m. nightly. Evangelist will be Bro. Michael Baker, Pine Grove Baptist Church in Hickory Flat.

  • REVIVAL Mt. Moriah MB Church, 3193 Marianna Rd., Holly Springs, Rev. Dr. R.J. Wilson, pastor. Revival will be Aug. 8-12, 7 p.m. nightly with guest evangelist James Nelson Brown of New Orleans, La. There will be many special guests.

August 12

  • PRE-ANNIVERSARY PROGRAM 7:30 p.m. will be held at Mt. Sinai C.O.G.I.C. of Mt. Pleasant for pastor and wife, Elder Curtis and Richenda Pritchard. Special guest will be Elder Connie Wright and the House of Faith Ministries of Somerville, TN. Everyone is invited.

August 13

  • THE MARSHALL COUNTY REPUBLICANS will meet at the Northcentral MS Electric Power Co. on Hwy. 309 S, Byhalia, 10 a.m. Speaker will be Sen. Ralph Doxey. The public is invited.

August 18

  • SUMMER CHAMBER LUNCHEON 12 noon at Annie’s Restaurant. Guest speaker Don Fisher. Tickets on sale at chamber office or from any chamber member. For more info. call 252-2943.

August 21

  • CHOIR DAY St. Mark will host its annual Choir Day, 3 p.m. All choirs and choruses are invited to attend.
  • HOMECOMING will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church, Hwy. 309, north of Byhalia, August 21, 1:30 p.m. featuring Brian Free and Assurance from Douglasville, GA. Dinner on the grounds.
  • PRE-ANNIVERSARY PROGRAM 2:30 p.m. will be held at Mt. Sinai C.O.G.I.C. of Mt. Pleasant for Pastor and Wife, Elder Curtis and Richenda Pritchard. Special guest will be Elder Chris Griggs and the Faith Temple C.O.G.I.C. of Slayden. Everyone is invited.
