Wednesday

  • SPAY/NEUTER PROGRAM The Marshall County Humane Society’s low cost spay/neuter program will be open at 646 Old Hwy 78 E. Call 252-6196 for the necessary appointment.
  • 24 HOUR SHUT-IN The Power of Prayer Ministries will be conducting a 24 hour shut-in and 7 p.m. nightly services at Community Temple Holiness beginning July 13-15. Different speaker each night. Host pastor is Elder Frank Moore, 851-3388.
  • ANNUAL REVIVAL Yarbrough Chapel CME Church will be in revival July 12-15. Services will begin at 7 p.m. The guest speakers will be Minister Glen Johnson, Isom Chapel CME Church; Minister Alma Dortch, Concord M.B. Church; and Rev. A.V. Warren Jr. and Rev. George R. Taylor of New Prospect M.B. Church. The public is invited to attend. Rev. Wanda Davis is pastor.
  • REVIVAL Disciples of Christ Church, Victoria, Bruce Williams is the pastor. Services 7 p.m. each night with different speakers.

  • FIRST STEPS University of Mississippi Small Business Development Center will conduct a Business Start-Up Seminar on Thursdays, July 14, 21 and 28, from 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m. at B-19 Jeanette Phillips Drive, University, MS. There is no charge for the workshop.

  • IDA WELLS FESTIVAL The Ida B. Wells Arts and Crafts Family Festival and birthday celebration will be held at the museum, 220 N. Randolph St., July 15-17, 9 a.m. until the music stops! Arts, crafts, creative dance, music, soul food and a walk through history. Artist and vendor booth space available. For more info. call 252-3232.
  • SECOND TIME AROUND The Marshall County Humane Society’s thrift store, Second Time Around, located next to Bailey Printing in Holly Springs, will be open Fri. from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Sat., 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Call 662-564-2900 for pick-up information on your donation.
  • BLOOD DRIVE The United Blood Services will conduct a blood drive at the Benton County Extension Service, Hwy. 370, Ashland, 1-6 p.m. Your support is appreciated.

  • SINGING Rising Star Church, 2519 Higdon Rd., will have a musical gospel extravaganza, 6 p.m.

  • FARMERS MARKET The Holly Springs Area Farmers Market will open in the parking lot of Dreamland, 231 Martin Luther King Drive, Hwy. 178 West, 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. The market will feature locally homegrown produce.   • FAMILY & FRIENDS DAY Rising Star Church will have their annual family and friends day with special guest Pastor Cunningham and the True Vine Church family. Pastor Robert McClain.
  • COMMUNITY REVIVAL St. Paul, Calvin Chapel, St. Mark and Mt. Teamer churches will host a community joint revival beginning July 27 at Mt. Teamer, host church. Sun.-Fri., 7 p.m. nightly, Tues.-Fri., 10:30 a.m. services. All are welcome to attend this joyous occasion.
