Lions Club scholarship recipients

Two students from Marshall County were recent recipients of scholarships. The scholarships were awarded by the Holly Springs Lions Club. Each of the students were awarded $500 to continue their education. Those receiving scholarships from the Holly Springs Lions Club were Brittany Byrd and Pratima Patel. Brittany, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Byrd, recently graduated from Potts Camp High School. Brittany plans a nursing career, and will be attending Northwest Mississippi Community College beginning this fall. Pratima is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dhanji Patel of Holly Springs. Pratima, a graduate of Marshall Academy, plans to attend the University of Mississippi this fall. Pictured are Pratima Patel, Lions Club President Sharon Pogue, and Brittany Byrd.
