Cothern home setting for family gathering June 11
Vacation Bible School will begin at FBC, Mt. Pleasant, on Monday, June 20 through Friday June 24, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. The theme is Jerusalem Marketplace, Where Jesus Walked to the Cross. The commencement program will be Sunday, June 26, at 5 p.m. Finger food will be served afterwards. Lee Anne Edwards is the VBS Director.
Vacation Bible School will begin at Carey Chapel Baptist Church Sunday, June 26 through Friday, July 1, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. There will be classes for children ages 3-12. The commencement service will be Friday evening, July 1. The theme is Rambling Road Trip. The director is Antha Jones.
The Building and Grounds Committee of Carey Chapel Baptist Church has scheduled a work day on Saturday, June 18. Breakfast will be served at 8 a.m.
Carl and Pat Cothern, of the Carey Chapel Community, hosted a family get-together at their home on Saturday, June 11. A host of relatives enjoyed great food and fun games.

Richard Langston has been having medical tests at Baptist Collierville Hospital. Please keep Richard on your prayer list. All of Richards and Dots children were home over the weekend along with several of their grandchildren.
Brent and Kelly Cothern enjoyed a vacation trip to the Bahamas recently.
Eugene Edwards is having surgery at St. Francis Hospital this week. A get well wish is sent to him.

Bob and Mary Barry and family from Dallas, Tx. visited relatives in the Slayden and Carey Chapel community last week.
Dixie Bumpas visited her sister, in Memphis, last week. She also made a visit to her doctor.
Joshua William Tipton and Rebecca Michelle Kidd will exchange marriage vows on Saturday, June 18, at 4 p.m. at Dorcas Baptist Church in Jack, Alabama. Josh is the grandson of Mary Ellen Godsey and the late Wilbur Godsey Sr.
Madge Winburn, from Hickory Flat, and Leah and Wesley Green, from the Bethlehem Community, visited me on Monday. Martha and Bobby Fant, from Holly Springs, visited me on Sunday.
Arnold and Kathy Goode celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary June 7. They enjoyed dinner at Coltons Steak House in Olive Branch.
