Chapel & Mt. Pleasant News Allene Teel Teel family enjoys cookout and work day on Memorial Day The youth group at Carey Chapel held a car wash on Saturday, June 4. Proceeds will go to the youth summer camp fund. The youth left for camp June 7. They are at Gulf Shores Baptist Assembly. Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Laws Hill, enjoyed a fish fry on Sunday night of Memorial Day weekend. Bro. Arnold Goode is pastor. The youth of FBC, Mt. Pleasant had a yard sale on Saturday June 4. Proceeds will go to the youth summer camp fund. Don and Joyce Bumpas are home from the Bahamas after Joyce received eight weeks of treatments. Barbara Ellis spent time with her sister last week when she had open heart surgery at Methodist Central Hospital. Wayne Corey had open heart surgery at Baptist Memphis Hospital recently. Lillian Wright had medical tests at Methodist Central Hospital and is still awaiting the results. A get well wish is sent to these. Paul Goode, of Ozark, Mo., spent last week with his parents Kathy and Arnold Goode. Ken and Betty Guffey, along with her mother, visited relatives in Paducah, Ky., over the Memorial Day weekend. The Teel family had a work day and cookout at my home on Memorial Day. Those attending were Madge, Johnny and Chris Winburn; Bobby and Martha Fant; Gary and Hannah Teel; Pat and Ivy Teel; Kathy and Arnold Goode; Randy Mayer; and David and Alisa Goode and boys. The group screened in my carport. Love and sympathy are expressed to the Pannell family in the loss of their loved ones. Report News:
