Couple honored on anniversary

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver and the gain thereof than fine gold. Proverbs 3:13-14

Vacation Bible School is held at Hamilton Chapel Church this week from 7 p.m. til. All ages are welcome to attend. Racheal Foster, director of Christian Board of Education, is in charge.

Sunrise Chapter #166 O.E.S. will host Esther Day Sunday, June 12, 6 p.m. at Greenfield Presbyterian Church. Other chapters participating are Bathsheba #27 and Philadelphia #277, both of Oxford. The public is invited. Callie M. Lay, host matron. Levan Miller, patron.

The children of Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Mull surprised them on their 51st wedding anniversary with a celebration at the Waterford Community Center. They received beautiful cards, gifts and a large gift was presented to them for their dedication and devotion to God, their marriage and family life. The children are Bettie, Eddie, Susie, Jasper Jr., Velva, Peggy, Helen and Kevin.
