Chapel & Mt. Pleasant News Allene Teel Kathy Goode celebrates birthday On Sunday, May 29, Carey Chapel Baptist Church will be having their fifth Sunday service. Sandwiches, chips, dips and other goodies will be served. There will be a sing-a-long afterwards. Amanda McClure and her mother made a trip to New York City to visit relatives recently. Jean Dunn flew to Phoenix, Arizona to attend the graduation of her granddaughter. Patricia Teel and her sister, Karen, made a business trip to Panama City, Florida recently. Kathy Goode celebrated her birthday, May 16, with dinner at OCharleys in Collierville. She was accompanied by her husband Arnold and her mother Allene Teel. The waiter presented her with a birthday cake and sang Happy Birthday to her. Phillip Teel is home recuperating after a weeks stay in Baptist Hospital, Collierville. Mary Ellen Godsey had medical tests recently at Baptist Hospital, Memphis. She received a good report. Katie Skelton, from Martinsburg, West Virginia, is visiting relatives in the community this week. Madge Winburn, from Hickory Flat, Randy Mayer, from Potts Camp, Glenwood Cothern, from Clear Creek, Zora Calder, from Bartlett, Tenn., Carol Jean Wells, from Olive Branch, Connie and Earl Allen from Slayden, Barbara Ellis, from Mt. Pleasant, Martha and Bobby Fant, from Holly Springs, and Gussie Mae Hughes from the community visited me last week. Harold Fortner had knee surgery at St. Francis Hospital last week. A get well wish is sent to him. Cordelia Stacks went to be with her daughter who had surgery recently. The youth at Carey Chapel had a cook-out on Saturday night to raise money for their trip to camp. The Carey Chapel Quartet sang afterwards. Report News:
