  • SPAY/NEUTER PROGRAM The Marshall County Humane Society’s low cost spay/neuter program will be held at the permanent site, 646 Old Hwy 78 E. Call 252-6196 for the necessary appointment.

  • SECOND TIME AROUND The Marshall County Humane Society’s thrift store, Second Time Around, located next to Bailey Printing in Holly Springs, will be open Fri. from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Sat., 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Call 662-564-2900 for pick-up information.

  • BENEFIT PROGRAM Pleasant Grove MB Church in Red Banks, for Douglas and Perlia Mae Burton. May 21, 6 p.m. For more info. call Florida Manning, 252-7493 or Lula Burton, 252-3666. Everyone is invited to attend.
  • Anointed Truth Outreach Ministries will be having a three night revival on May 19, 20, 21 beginning at 7:30pm each night. Pastor James Anderson of Fresh Fire Word in Action in Memphis, TN will be speaker. The church is located in Chulahoma at 28 Tyro Road across from the Exxon station. Bishop Alan D. Lewis, Pastor.
  • SEMINAR Chulahoma MB Church will have a “character building seminar” Sat, May 21, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Everyone is strongly encouraged to attend. The guest presenter is Rev. Eddie C. Spencer of Jackson, once identified only as Inmate 46857. He left Parchman Prison in 1988 a free man and in 1989 USA Today recognized him as one of 50 national drug-fighting heroes. He currently has a ministry speaking at schools, churches and conferences. Rev. John E. Booker Jr., pastor.
  • CHILDREN’S CHURCH Kimbrough Chapel Church, May 21, 10 a.m.. Minister Arlene Luellen is in charge. All children are encouraged to come and take part.
  • Youth Car Wash at Victoria Heights Baptist Church, this Sat., May 21, from 10:00am - 4:00 pm. Please show your support for our youth group by having your car washed! Your donation is greatly appreciated! For more info please call Bro. Brandon at (901) 848-7620.
  • CARNIVAL The Holly Springs Primary School asks your support in their school’s carnival. The carnival will be held May 20, 8:30-2:00. The school is now accepting donations of hot dogs, buns, individual bag of chips, sodas, mustard and ketchup. The carnival is an end of the school year reward for the students’ hard work.
  • SINGING Clear Creek Baptist Church hosts Saturday night singing. Fellowship will be at 6 p.m., singing at 7. Special guests will be “Hearts of Service” from Nettleton, MS. Everyone is invited.

Sunday

  • VBS Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church is holding their Vacation Bible School on May 22 -26 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. A light meal will be provided each night. This year’s theme is “Ranch House Kids: Adventure of the Open Door.” You will need to register by May 14. Please call our church office to register at 662-851-7301. Open to ages three and older. Come enjoy songs, games, roping skills, crafts, puppet shows, and Biblical plays.
  • Benefit program at Mt. Sinai COGIC of Mt. Pleasant, for Minister Sammie and Missionary Curtanya Smith, Sat., May 7, 7 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend and help us be a blessing to them. Pastor, Elder Curtis Pritchard.

  • PASTOR’S APPRECIATION will be held at The Yarbrough Chapel C.M.E. Church, 11 a.m. with Rev. Delois Downey and Bethlehem CME Church and at 2 p.m. Rev. Calvin Hubbard and New Foundation Baptist Church, Memphis, TN. The public is invited.

  • SINGING There will be a singing at Holly Hills Baptist Church on June 4 at 6 p.m. The featured group will be Rocky Ewing and Chosen Few from Red Bay, Ala. Bro. Frank Feathers and congergation invite all to come. Fellowship will follow.

June 5

  • GUEST SPEAKER Pastor McClain will be the guest speaker at Chulahoma Church for the Men’s Day program, June 5, 3 p.m.
