“Team Kids” plan fish fry for Saturday

The “Team Kids” of FBC, Mt. Pleasant are planning a fund raiser fish fry Saturday April 23, at 1 p.m.

Several members from Carey Chapel Baptist Church and FBC, Mt. Pleasant attended the Marshall Baptist Association meeting at FBC, Holly Springs, Monday night.

Elsie Parks celebrated her 103rd birthday April 12, at Trinity Mission Nursing Home in Holly Springs. Family and friends enjoyed cake and ice cream.

Gary, Michelle and Hannah Teel are vacationing at the Big Cedar Lodge near Branson, Mo. this week.

Rev. Arnold and Kathy Goode attended the Deacon Ordination service for Joe Reed Clayton at Bethany Baptist Church Sunday afternoon. 

Several from the community attended the Holly Springs Pilgrimage over the weekend.

Rev. Troy Styers, from Millington, Tenn., visited Campbell and Allene Teel Friday night.

Arnold and Kathy Goode enjoyed having all their children and grandchildren home last weekend to attend the wedding of Arnold’s niece, Emily Goode. Emily and Gabriel Drummond were married April 9, at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church where Arnold is pastor. Visiting the Goodes were Danny and Christie Goode and sons Christian, Cody and Campbell, of Lee’s Summit Mo.; Bill and Laura Harris and daughter Corinne of Salinas, Ca.; Paul Goode of Ozark, Mo.; and David and Alisa Goode and sons Drake, Abram, Xander and Max of Carey Chapel community. Tommy and Elaine Goode, of Dallas, Tx., had dinner with the family on Thursday night.

Campbell Teel had the joy of meeting his newest great-grandson, Campbell Goode last week. Both Campbells were delighted.

I would like to thank our relatives, friends and neighbors for all their visits, calls and food over the past weeks.

I would love to name you all in my column, but I’m afraid of leaving someone out. Campbell continues to decline and we covet your prayers.
