City Personals
Mary Clay Brooks

Laura Wheeler turns the big 30

Johnny and Rita Langus of Mobile, Ala., were weekend guests of Becky Cupp. While here, they visited with family members Doris Cochran and Harriet and Clark Cochran, as well as all of their friends.

Constance Ann Lanier of Olive Branch was the Saturday night guest of Kay Wheeler.

Everette Stubbs of San Francisco, Ca., enjoyed spending a few days with his family in Holly Springs. He was home to read in his friend’s (Caroline Barton Whittle) wedding in Memphis, Tenn., over the weekend.

Morgan Martin of Memphis, Tenn., spent the weekend with his father, Dr. Ben Martin.

Congratulations to the Holly Springs Garden Club on a wonderful pilgrimage! I was at Crump Place all weekend and heard nothing but grand comments from all of our tourists on how lovely the homes were. People from out of state were amazed at how polite and nice everyone in Holly Springs was. It is wonderful to be a part of something so significant when, sometimes, we tend to take for granted the beauty we have here in Holly Springs! Congratulations to all of those involved with the pilgrimage - what a success!

Laura Wheeler turned the big 3-0 on Tuesday. Happy Birthday, Laura!
