Several Potts Camp Cardinals and Lady Cardinals will be moving on to the regional track meet this Saturday at Tupelo after placing in the top eight of their events at the 1-1A Pre-Region on Tuesday of last week.

In the team rankings from the pre-region, the Potts Camp boys placed first with 171 points. Second and third, respectively, were DeSoto Central with 155 and Biggersville with 112.

The Potts Camp girls finished second (138 points). Myrtle won with 157 points. DeSoto Central was third with 96 points.

A breakdown of the competition for the Lady Cardinals and Cardinals follows.

Girls 100 Meter Dash – third, Erica Tables, 13.67; eighth, Lillian Walker, Potts Camp, 14.60.

Girls 200 Meter Dash – first, Erica Tables, 28.61.

Girls 400 Meter Dash – seventh, Tatiauna Grayson, 1:13.14.
