Youth plan bake sale at Mt. Pleasant Gazebo Saturday

Funeral services were held for Claudia Mae Gardner Tomlinson at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, April 6. Rev. O.E. Langner officiated. Burial was in Carey Cemetery. She was the descendant of James Dudley and Cora Gardner. She was 96 years old and she was my aunt. Sympathy and love are expressed to the family.

A large crowd attended the wedding of Matthew Wayne Thompson and Codi Lynn Hester March 26 at the United Methodist Church at Mt. Pleasant. A reception was held in the fellowship hall. I hope you two will have a long life together.

On April 16, the youth at Carey Chapel Baptist Church are having a bake sale at the Mt. Pleasant Gazebo. All proceeds will go toward youth camp.

On April 16, the “Team Kids” at First Baptist Mt. Pleasant will have a cookout, games and fun at the church. The United Methodist Church at Mt. Pleasant held their Spring Revival April 10-13.

A “Thank You” care package for the troops in Iraq will be sent by May 1 by the members at Carey Chapel Church.

Several in the community attended “Mule Day” in Columbia, Tenn., recently.

Harold and Myrtis Todd, Rocky and Peggy Hunsucker and Eddie and Charlotte Todd enjoyed a birthday get-together at the Storehouse Restaurant at Slayden. It was Peggy’s birthday.

Fred and Carol Jean Wells from Olive Branch and Zora Calder from Bartlett, Tenn. visited Campbell and Allene Teel recently.

Kathy Goode, Lola Dickerson and Syble Teel attended the funeral for Delbert Eastman at The Family Funeral Chapel in Memphis Thursday. Delbert is the son-in-law of Zora Calder.

Bro. Troy Styers from Millington, Tenn. visited Campbell and Allene Teel recently.
