Carey Chapel will present an Easter cantata Sunday; Easter egg hunt set for Saturday on church grounds

The choir at Carey Chapel Baptist Church will present an Easter cantata, “Rise Again” Sunday, March 27, in the 11 p.m. service. There will also be a sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. There will be no services in the evening.

The children at Carey Chapel Church will have an Easter egg hunt Saturday, March 26 at 1 p.m. on the church ground.

The youth at Carey Chapel attended the “Passion Play” at Bellevue Baptist Church.

Bro. Arnold and Kathy Goode traveled to Springfield, Mo., to attend a friend’s funeral recently.

Harold and Myrtis Todd’s granddaughter Jennifer traveled with a singing group to Carnegie Hall in New York.

Howard Gardner is home from St. Francis Hospital improving after knee replacement.

Thanks to Bill and Eva Harris, also Peggy Hunsucker, for the good food. Love and sympathy are expressed to the Mills family in the death of their loved one.

Juanita Langston is a patient at the Alliance HealthCare Hospital in Holly Springs. A get well wish is sent to her.

Lloyd and Linda Breedlove and grandchildren from Dallas, Tx., visited Bro. Arnold and Kathy Goode Sunday. They attended church services at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, where Bro. Arnold is pastor. They also visited Campbell and Allene Teel in the afternoon.

Joyce Bumpas had surgery at the Mayo’s Hospital in Minnesota. Our prayers are with her and family.

Danny and Christy Goode are the proud parents of a boy. He arrived March 9, and weighed eight pounds and was 20 inches long. His name is Campbell David Micah Goode. He is welcomed home by two brothers, Christian and Cody.

Grandparents are Bro. Arnold and Kathy Goode. Great-grandparents are Campbell and Allene Teele.

Dot Langton and family members travelled to Nashville to visit family, then on to Georgia to visit family for several days.

Walter and Beverly McMullins travelled to Florida on vacation last week.

Emily Goode from Dallas, Tx., visited Bro. Arnold and Kathy Goode several days last week.

John and Peggy Teel from Jackson, Ms., Rex and Cerice Teel from Starkville, Carl and Nona Teel from Henderson, Tenn., Fred and Carol Jean Wells from Olive Branch and Zora Calder from Bartlett, Tenn., visited in the home of Campbell and Allene Teel recently.

Leon Cothern is a patient at Baptist Collierville Hospital. A get well wish is sent to him.

Jenell Teel was rushed to Baptist Collierville Hospital. She is back home, recuperating.

Love and sympathy are expressed to Betty Anderson in the death of her brother, Jerry Harris.

Love and sympathy are expressed to Ralph Thompson in the death of his brother, Lesley Thompson.

On March 26, an Easter egg hunt has been planned at First Baptist Mt. Pleasant.
