  • REVIVAL Mt. Teamer Church will have spring revival, March 23-25. Different speakers each night, 7 p.m. Everyone is cordially invited to attend.

Thursday

  • FFA MEETING The Potts Camp FFA alumni meeting will be at the Potts Camp School ag building, 7 p.m.
  • MAUNDY THURSDAY Victoria and Red Banks United Methodist Churches will observe Maundy Thursday, March 24, with a special service of Holy Communion at 6 p.m. in the Victoria UMC sanctuary. Tenebrae, or “darkness” will follow, presenting an extended Scriptural meditation on the Passion of Jesus, based on St. Matthew’s Gospel. As the service progresses, the Tenebrae candles are extinguished gradually, reflecting the physical and emotional pain of the Passion. Eventually, the sanctuary is left momentarily in darkness. The observance will close with the stripping of the altar and the draping of the cross. The public is cordially invited to attend. For more info. call the pastor, Rev. Pat Elmore, 838-9708.

  • EASTER EGG HUNT Holly Springs Parks and Rec. Dept. is sponsoring an Easter egg hunt Fri., March 25, Sam Coopwood Park, 10:30 a.m. Grand prize of $50. In case of rain, the hunt will be held at the Holly Springs Multi-Purpose building.

  • SUNRISE SERVICE Mt. Moriah MB Church, 3193 Marianna Rd. will have Easter sunrise service, Sun., Mar. 27, 8 a.m. Guest speaker will be Rev. Tony Wilkins from Nichols Chapel CME Church.
  • SUNRISE SERVICE Victoria and Red Banks United Methodist Churches will begin Easter Sunday, March 27 with a sunrise service at 7 a.m. in the Victoria UMC sanctuary. Breakfast will follow in the fellowship hall. Red Banks UMC will hold its regular worship service at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary. There will not be an 11 a.m. service at Victoria UMC.   • MEETING Marshall County Forestry Association will hold their first quarterly meeting of 2005 on Thursday evening, March 31 in the Lodge of Wall Doxey State Park. Registration will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the meeting starting promptly at 6:30 p.m. Arbor Day Poster Contest winners will be recognized prior to the program on Firewise.
